About Hayaa
Hayaa is an independent project, built quietly and carefully, for a community that has been underserved for too long.
What we are building
Hayaa exists because the Muslim community needs recovery tools that take both halves of the problem seriously — the spiritual half and the behavioral half. There are excellent secular sobriety apps that ignore faith entirely. There are well-meaning Islamic resources that lack the rigor of modern habit-change research. We do not believe Muslims should have to choose. Hayaa is the app we wish had existed when we started looking.
Independent and unaffiliated
Hayaa LLC is not affiliated with any specific scholar, mosque, masjid, or organization. We draw on widely accepted Islamic sources from both the Sunni and Shia traditions and present them with clear attribution. We do not issue fatwas. We do not endorse one madhhab over another. Questions of religious practice belong with your local scholar.
Sect-inclusive by design
Hayaa serves Sunni and Shia users equally, and users who prefer not to identify. Content is filtered for you based on your selection during onboarding. The community is segmented by sect and by gender so the space remains comfortable for everyone in it. The app draws on Saheeh International and Ali Quli Qara'i translations, hadith from both sunnah.com and thaqalayn.net, and du'a from both Hisnul Muslim and the Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya.
How we approach the work
Slowly. Carefully. With restraint. The audience for this app is often carrying years of shame and isolation. The product, the marketing, the community, and the AI companion are all designed with that in mind. We will move slowly when it serves users and quickly when their safety requires it.
